Hagrid is a reminded that I am still amazed at how *tiny* bats can be. Big or small they are the nemesis of bugs. And the odd mango or cactus fruits in some cases:). I see Hagrid has his eyes shut.

Poor little bat...she sure was a beauty. I'm surprised she held still for that photo.

I like the tiny ones too, though. He looks like a dust bunny or one of those odd little puff balls with the googly eyes that people stick to their computers.

Well, the sheathtailed bat was spectacular looking, no question. Poor thing.

But gee, Hagrid's cute! Like a beady-eyed little fluffball. And those cute little ears!

I'm fascinated by how that much wing can fold up so very small. And looking at the picture, even more than the diagrams you'd posted before, I can see how badly her wing was damaged. I'm sorry you weren't able to save her, but I'm glad you were able to take care of her and make her death painless and peaceful.

Hagrid is absolutely adorable. I hope he's doing well.
