Magnificent!

I can see no flaws at all. The expressions---very subtle, as they are essentially eyes and head shape, seem to be exactly right. Helix's unusual head was hard to get right, I'm sure.

What can you tell us about the reaction on the Freefall forum?

Generally Positive. LittleDragon is doing Helix in Poser and is going to use brushed aluminium as a texture, and I think that might be the right one. I'm looking at it now. One poster thinks Helix looks like he was made of PVC pipe, and Mlle Miaou and Dark Ferret both don't like the yellow I used for Dvorak, but that's his colour in the colour strips so I stuck with it.

I agree -- that white does make Helix look like he's made of PVC pipe. But somehow, that seems entirely appropriate for him -- especially given what we know about his modular construction and such.

And his personality.

Besides, high-strength composites make more sense to me than metal.
