Around The World In 80 Beers Episode 141: Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop Ale

Pours a clear copper colour with a small, foamy head which takes AGES to fade away.Very fine carbonation visible in the glass.

First sip: Nice sweet malt and citrus up front, which is suddenly buried as a the piney hops bitterness kicks in. The hops lingers long after the swallow. Mouth-feel is medium with a nice carbonation tingle on the tongue.

This is a yummy beer. Mildly sweet, nicely bitter, with a nice warming feeling in the belly. This is a great beer for drinking on a cold Winter's night. And the taste gets even better as the bottle warms a little. Even the beer burp is nice. It's difficult to drink slowly - and at 6.7% you really should drink it slowly.

Of course there is cheese! Hey, it's me. Harvest goes very well with the smoked mild Dutch cheddar I am nibbling.
