makovette acting at an Amazon relay, I now posess a set of Sennheiser PXC250 noise cancelling headphones. A quick trip to The Good Guys netted me an mp3 player to go with the headphones. The headphones are nice. When I turn them on little microphones in the earpieces pick up incoming ambient noises and retransmit them at 180* out of phase, effectively cancelling most of the noise.
mp3s never sounded so good.
