I see friends hurting and never know what to say. So I say nothing and sit here wishing I knew what to do to help them, and feeling like I've let them down.

I don't know what to say.

Sometimes, when you hurt, when you're confused, when shit is just shit and you don't know where to turn, all it takes is for someone to notice, even if they don't know what to do. It's a different kind of hug, a different kind of hand on the shoulder, a different kind of message to say "I'm here". You do that well. You always have. You've done that for me many, many times.
