For the last 12 months I have been living on unemployment benefits. I applied for three jobs per fortnight for those 12 months and received some enquiries, and a few interviews. No jobs came of it.
When I enrolled for uni my bank account had $200 in it. I was eligable for Austudy, a government handout that gives you an income while you study.
My weekly income is now $150 per week. To live on that I had to move in with my parents. 40 years old and living with my parents.
Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever earn a decent wage.
