A preying mantis has found its way into one of my meal worm farms. It probably can't believe its luck.

Maybe it'll tell all the other mantids in the yard and you'll have a gang!:D Until the one who found the place has to keep eating the other members to keep the find a secret from rivals;), that is. Which color is it- green, brown, cream or mottled off black? And don't try to pick them up unless you use chopsticks or long tweezers. Those arm barbs *hurt*. I learned about them trying to pick one up in my parents yard when I was six or seven. They've got elbows, and they know how to use them!!

It's the colour of grass. I thought it was a blade blown into the box until I saw the legs. This one is only 2" long. We get big brown ones here: 7" long and as mean as.
