All my country is pretty in its own way. What sort of area are you looking for? Mountain? Coastal? Tropical? Dry? The capital city, Dubbo, is nice.

coastal, pretty flora and interesting fauna, some cities and some open area. Room to be around people but still get the hell away from them when they cheeze me off.

You can have Cairns for your holidays, then. It's right on the Barrier Reef and has tropical rain forests and sugar farms on three sides.
