denA long day! Part 1 - Stonehenge

We were lucky that day. It was fine, mild, and at 9.30am there was still an hour before the first coaches arrived. The monument was almost deserted - maybe 100 people were there.
The landscape around Stonehenge has many barrows. Here is one close to the henge, and six on the ridge behind.
