Are any of them by the professor?

Do any of the local libraries carry them? I had one book I needed for a course that I just took out from my librarty -- the book was $100+; I returned it at the end of the semester and paid the $5 late fee. ;)

That's roughly USD $38.70, $41.20, and $49. for each of your books with discounts. Wow. Those are pretty expensive. What books are these? I assume they're all hardcover textbooks, but sheesh...It's like buying those coffee table books with big, beautiful photos in them.

And you'll try to sell them back to the college bookstore at the end of the semester and you'll only get back maybe five bucks each...

49 bucks USD isn't too bad. I had one that cost me 65 bucks USD. Suuuuuuuucks! I found that if you are able to sell the books back other than the prescribed book sell back dates you get more money back. I get almost the price I paid for that $65 book. I got $57 back. It was an online course and the bookstore was buying it back rather than whomever they get to buy back books at the end of the year.

The library is sounding quite nice :)

The books I just purchased for my course (four of them) all cost over $70 a-peice.. and they feel like they weigh about a kilo per doller.. =8)
