Glad to hear it. Frankly, I wasn't sure Surface Mail even existed across oceans any more. Only it probably went by airplane anyway, don't you think?
Did it arrive untattered? I got one from Germany back in my QSL card collecting days that looked like it had been, and probably was, caught in the rollers of a conveyor belt somewhere for several months.
Looked fine. I can't imagine mail being sent by ship now days. I suspect it's thrown into a low-to-zero priority cannister that is sent by air when it's full.
