I'd like to see Chihuly design or make something like that, from handblown glass bottles. I bet they'd be all the rage in the art glass circles too. :D But it would also cost a lot more than a few cases of empties, it is certain.

All you need to add is a dollop of hot-melt glue at each junction. Instant Earthquake Safe. (At least up to a Richter 5 or so...)
