Your cop cars are far more extroverted than ours...

That's a highway patrol car, one of the country cops... city cop cars don't have that honking huge antenna on the back or extra spotlights and they certainly don't have dayglo orange stripes.

WA Highway Patrol are. In this state the cars are a little more subdued (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales_Police_Force)and don't have the fluro colours, but the other states and New Zeland go mad. (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Police_cars_by_continent#Australia_.26_Oceania)

A friend from highschool's Dad was driving a mini accross the nullabore, they had the misfortune to hit a roo mid bounce onto the road at about knee height and it came through the windscreen scratched the passenger badly getting itself out and then hopped away.

Dang. Feel sorrier for the Roo than for the police car...

[identity profile] talvinamarich.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
