Barbeques Galore!

The local Barbeques Galore is getting a load of Weber Smokey Mountain Cookers in tomorrow! It's taken Weber ages to start importing them.

I think I am finally over my aversion to BBQs.

Well, whatever your reason for shunning them before, I'm glad you're back to your senses! Image

About 10 years ago I visited relatives who liked to BBQ everything. For two weeks I ate BBQ Lunch, BBQ Dinner, and breakfast was yesterday's leftovers reheated on the BBQ.

In the end I was hanging out for fish and chips.

Haha! That reminds me of Seuss' "The King's Stilts", which features King Bertram of Binn’s constant battle against predatorial birds called nizzards, the borderline-treasonous theft of King Birtram’s stilts by the evil Lord Droon, and the page boy Eric’s dire quest to retrieve them (Before It’s Too Late, of course).

Eventually, all is set right. The kingdom is saved, and when Droon is locked up, we are given an account of his prison menu: “Stewed nizzards for breakfast. Cold nizzards for lunch. Fried nizzards for supper. And every other Thursday, they served him nizzard hash.” Image
