Date: 1 Aug 2008 23:06 (UTC)I don't think I succeeded. She just gave me that "you're weird" look that she does so well.
My exact words were "Wombat Day is the Australian equivalent of Groundhog Day - except that every year the wombat comes out of its hole, looks around and says "ah, f*ck it" and goes back to sleep for another 6 weeks".
I think she thought I was being needlessly cynical. :-)
