Queen Elizabeth the 2nd (or The 1st, if you're Scottish) has been on the throne for 50 years. Everyone is wishing her happy Jubilee, but today is also the day her father George VI died.

Essentially, everyone is saying "Happy aniversary on the death of your father."

Come to my place, Mrs Queen. We'll have tea and I can show you the bats.
