Chicken Run

A run through the streets of Dubbo to get some lunch-time chicken franchise chicken.

Look at that dreadful mid-Winter weather!

Okay, that's enough of the playing around with the time lapse. I'll post some proper photos soon.

Is this US-centric or just Basic Human Psychology?

It still freaks me the hell out to see people driving on the left-hand side of the road. Driving in Japan was really, really difficult for me :).

I didn't even try when I was in Japan and the UK. (Japan has enough transit I never even thought about it, UK I was in London and driving there is silly...)

Wow! Almost nobody on the sidewalk!
That's some terrible weather you've got there;).

that's awesome! i love watching the sky while the car is parked.

ps, if that was in melbourne, there's no way i'd be leaving the camera sitting on the dash! :D

Neat!

So the camera actually has a "time lapse" setting? Can you set the time between exposures, or is it a built-in time function?

(Hmm, I don't think my camera can do that, although I kinda get the same effect by just speeding up its movies (http://atara.livejournal.com/462160.html).

Try this (http://lifehacker.com/387380/turn-your-pointandshoot-into-a-supercamera)

Ah - looks cool, but my camera isn't a point n shoot, and it's an Olympus. :)

It has a 1 second per frame or 2 second per frame setting. This one is 1 second between frames.

zomg, you're driving on the wrong side!

Still, that's neat, and really neat to see a bite of where you live.

Cool.. how'd you get the time-lapse? camera hack or remote with timer?

[identity profile] dewhitton.livejournal.com 2008-06-27 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Canon IXUS 80s has a time lapse setting, which is why I bought it even though I have an excellent Canon 40D

I watched half of that before I had to quit or face carsickness. Still, very cool!
