Flag of the Commonwealth Of Australia explained

1 - The Southern Cross. This is a constellation visible in the southern hemisphere. We claim it as ours, but it can be seen in New Zeland, South Africa and South America. The New Zealanders have it on their flag, but the stars are red. Ours have more points, too.

2 - The Federation Star. This 7-pointed star has one point for each of the six states, and one point to represent all the territories. Technically, the Northern Territory is a state, but they want to be known as the Northern Territory. So fuck 'em.

3 - Reebok Logo.

*gigglegigglegigglesnort* I'd like to hear a similar explanation of the US flag, though I suspect that I could get one even more amusing just by asking any random person on the street. ;)
