(no subject)

Is it strange that I go into pet shops and look at cages full of puppies and bunnies and birds, and ignore the puppies and bunnies and birds while mentally evaluating the cage for echidna suitability?

No more strange than me going into a clothing store of any kind and evaluating clothing primarily on whether it'll stay on while I'm dancing. Second is comfortableness, third is colour, fourth is looking good. But first is whether I can wear it while dancing.

Makes sense to me - which type of critter are you most likely to have to take care of at a moment's notice, after all?

No. I walk though the dollar store, furniture stores and pet store while evaluating everything for snake / gecko suitability.

I think SOMEBODY is getting a new puggle:D!

Besides, you have to evaluate the climbing and escape potential.

Venus was a statue made entirely out of stone,
Without a stitch upon her, she was naked as a bone.
An engineer, on seeing this, immediately discoursed,
"Why the damn thing's only concrete, and it should be reinforced!"

Everyone has their own perspective. Some of us just have a little more angle than others.

Another mobile scrotum? XD (that description will never get old. Ever.)

Also, no. The cage came with Mr. Cranky Pants, or I'd have gone 'round and done the same thing. "Hmm, will this suit a hedgie or not...?"
