Coal Power

The government here want to build more coal-fired power stations. I think they should look at the Kalundborg industrial park in Denmark before they do anything.

This is using technology that exists right now, not something that is still in development or will exist "in the future." I want to take Hydrogen Economy environmentalists and smack them on the side of the head.

I can't see why not. They are building new stations on the coast near Newcastle in what is essentially a coal field. It could be the centre of a new industrial park.

A new station near Lithgow could provide a city of 20000 people with heating water.

It is unlikely to happen in australia because nobody wants a large coal fired power station in there back yard. so the waste heat wont be used. the factories for the other waste products wont be close either and what happens to the co2 in Kalundborg

Compress the C02 and use it as beer gas.

Or dry ice for transporting cold goods
