Little bat

Little bat's luck ran out.

Can't save them all.

I'm so sorry.

But at least you do manage to save some.

If it was easy to save them all, they wouldn't need people like you.

You did your best and comforted him to the end.

Certainly the end was kinder then what nature would have given him.

I'm so sorry.

Meant to introduce myself... I found you through one of the bird communities, and added you... hope that's OK. I used to volunteer at a rehab place, years ago, and yearn to get back into it, but am too busy working fulltime, going to college halftime, and being a hockey mom (and the owner of five cats) to be able to spare any more time. But someday... I WILL get back to it.

Can't save them all.

No but no-one could give them a better chance than you do, you do great work.

Bugger indeed. :(

Somewhere Mother Bat has the baby tucked under her wing, and is listening to him tell her how you looked after him, and how he was sorry he couldn't stay a little longer.
