Five years ago this area was incinerated by bushfires. The plants are still recovering.

Grose River reminds me of some of the bluff rock I have seen around the US, or in pictures from different countries in the latin america part of the hemisphere. I almost expected to see a vulture or two hanging around in the trees.

The Grose River has carved its way though a huge sandstone plateau, so all the cliffs have that orange colour.

5 years ago we were in our house at Wentworth Falls, bathtub full of water and ready to throw the computer with my husband's thesis on it in the car and RUN. And then suddenly the weather changed...

(I miss the scribbly gums).
