In which Or Hero, the render hack, has another slow day at work and plays with the company CAD software to produce something that can only be seen with IE5.5 and with eDrawings. (1.2MB)

I have reached the limit of the old PC and can't add any more to the drawing. The new CAD PC will have an Intel 2GHz dual-core cpu, 2GB RAM, and a 512MB NVIDIA FX1500 OpenGL certified 3D video card. The card must be OpenGL certified to do the full virtual prototyping thing.

Is that part of the water delivery system?

-=TK, who's wondering how much the eDrawings plugin has taken over his PC

The program may only be 9m, but it took a long time to write files in my registry, and I'm finding little shortcuts everywhere. They did not have my permission to go there.

There is supposed to be a way to install the required scripting to make it work in a few other types of browsers but it is quite complex and does not apply to my version of Firefox (2.0.0.3). I got it working in IE though and it is neat to be able to do that AutoCAD-like movement of objects in a browser. I think I will have to get it working in Firefox and Netscape just to learn the details of plug-ins because I want to make a graphical plug-in program to work on all major browsers (some time in the distant future)

I would love something like that system so I could show my 3D renders and allow people to view any angle they wish.

We have the "Basic Package," but there is a scene add-on that lets you create full photo-realistic images with backgrounds, sky, plants and scenery.

I wanted it but "I want that!" isn't enough to justify the extra expense.
