Depends on how you look at it. I celebrate each birthday as a milestone. I wasn't supposed to survive birth, then wasn't suposed to survive (many times!) to reach adulthood, etc. etc...
But as of this moment, I've outlived a BUNCH of folks who were convinced I was virtually "worm food" (just not "planted" yet) over the past 56 years, and with a bit of luck (which will, of course, run out some fine day) I'll be able to celebrate a few more trips around the old nuclear spark in the sky--- ;)
