The Skip, boat and sofa will have had to get through the Single Vehicle Licencing tests and examinations, which are a lot tougher than the standard MOT and mass produced vehicle tests. See the British series of Scrapheap Challenge Rally for the hoops you have to jump through to get something through those.

The shed could probably get away with a standard MOT as it was simply a shell built around a quadbike.
