The kookaburra died. H went to feed him this morning and he was dead on the ground.

That is our current theory. Age, parasites, and a non-lethal encounter with a car all were too much for the poor thing.

It could be stress. He was caught caged and boxed a number of times. Usually they get over that. There was some other underlaying problem or he'd have never been caught.
