Who did the bombers think they were attacking? The Indian government? The "imperialist" Americans? Occupying forces? The wrong religion? Ordinary people going to work?

It doesn't matter. Murdering bastards.

Their goal is to forment a Hindu/Muslim Pak. India war which will de-stabillize both governments to the point that they can take control of Pak. and Afghanistan all the while geting a free ride to their Allah promised heaven-stan for their jihad.

At least that's my read of the situation.

There is something very wrong with the world. It's a sad situation when you have young people who are possibly so disillusioned with life that they will only be seen by committing an action which will rob others of their lives. To reach that state a person must be dead inside. I don't care what the belief system or god is- if you are willing to destroy that which was created by god-how could you be blessed? (Note: I don't mean to attack any faith with this statement,I am attacking the justification of destruction in order to please the diety or object of personal choice.)

I have met many people in my wanderings who abhor violence and this sort of behavior, many of them not American, some who are Islamic, any many who are not. But we seem to think the same way- that killing others in this manner solves nothing. Not for themselves, the people with whom they affiliate, or their faith.

Just thinking. After watching Syriana last night I have become aware of another whole can of connection worms I am not ready to educate myself about just yet.
