Wow. Cancelling ANZAC Day is serious! But so is the hurricane:(!
I hope the damage isn't as bad as New Orleans. This has not been a good storm year.

I still don't think Monica will be quite as bad as what tracy was
given that tracy was a real fluke, that, and the buildings weren't really set up to withstand cyclones
but then, Meh, what do I know, I'm just some amatuer weatherwatcher

Tracy was the smallest destructive cyclone ever. It was tiny for a Cat4.

It could be much worse! You could be dependent on FEMA to lead the cleanup and relief effort!

Luckily the cyclone is a couple of thousand miles to the north of me. I'm too far inland to get that sot of weather, as well. I'm hoping it will swing southeast to bring rain
