Port Macquarrie

Some photos I took at Port Macquarrie when I wasn't wearing a suit.

Mangroves at low tide

The path to my room, Flynn's Beach Resort

I was in a room without a view, at the rear of the resort. Rooms with A View see the sea, the beaches, and a major highway.
This is my non-view from the balcony.

Eastern Water Dragon who owns the creek that ran through the resort BBQ area.

One of his challengers.

I was hassled by a duck.

Feels like you're National Geographic photographer.

That spider web is gorgeous - I'm severely jealous of both your skills and your camera!

I love the photos you take. I'm afraid you've become a role model. You're someone I compare my own work against.

Like everyone else, wow that spiderweb!
That's a pretty good non-view, there, imo. :)

Thanks for posting these.

The water dragon is fascinating... and I think the non-view is pretty good, too. I've had non-views of brick walls a meter from my window, airshafts, or high-rise complexes including a few in Fortitude Valley.

Did you get any pictures of the ocean while there that you can share?

[identity profile] dewhitton.livejournal.com 2006-03-24 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
No photos of the ocean. It's just a big flat blue thing. I find the bush more interesting. 8)

I got water photos on my last trip to Port (http://battyden.net/pictures/Photos/2005april/)

I think the challenger is a lot less likely to find a mate. Look at the colors on that cocky dragon!:D

Funny Duck!

[identity profile] dewhitton.livejournal.com 2006-03-24 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
He had ducklings to protect and did not appreciate the papperazzi.

[identity profile] weyrdbird.livejournal.com 2006-03-25 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Did he peck at your shoelaces? I've had canadian geese do that if they thought I was too close to the brood before. I have learned to be careful during nesting season. If it's not your feet, they fly at your head, trust me:D.

no, he just hissed a lot.
