New Improved I Can't Believe It's Not Echidna Milk

I just spoke to the lady who makes Biolact, the specialist echidna milk. She refused to sell it to me because switching milk now will upset Spook's tummy. The stuff sells for $50/kg and she blew the sale because it would be bad for the animal. How cool is that? She suggested I stay on the current mix I got from the zoo, but add 20g of Divetalac instead of 10g.

Tonight is Spook's rest night, so I'll start the new mix tomorrow.

Do puggles make any noise in their sleep apart from the occaisional

*rustle*

that frightens poor Polly?:)

Somehow I can see a puggle being flexible enough to curl up almost anywhere, or lie on its back , a thing it doesn't do much once it's old enough.

GO SPOOK!

No noises in their sleep, but they slurp loudly when they eat. And adults make a weird whstling noise when they're annoyed.

Rest night? That makes it sound like the little fellow is going on a day trip to the spa or something :)

I only feed him once every second day. He was fed last night so tonight is his rest night.

Echidnas are odd in that they don't need 4 hourly feeding like other mammal babies.

That does make it nice.. you can sleep ;) Do the parents often leave the young for long periods so they themselves can eat? it seems odd that they dont eat at least once a day.

the mums can go 3-4 days between burrow visits when the puggle gets older, but I want him to get fat fast.

That is actually cool. I like it when people put the welfare of the animal above personal gain.
