When my parrents were in Mexico, they made a traditional thanksgiving/christmas dinner (our tradition) and the Mexicans were not interested in any of it: never seen creamed corn (but half their foods are made of corn) never seen gravy made before, stuffing in the turkey was completely alien an idea and even the turkey was an usual meat item. Now add the German parogies and the Norwegian Lefsa we always have with sour cream (another rarely used item there) and the Mexicans decided to make their own food instead.
