It looks to me like you used Autostitch to merge 6 photographs. If some of your subject matter is relatively close, then for a 180 degree panorama, I've found that you need to shoot using a focal length that equates to a standard 50mm on a 35mm camera. This works out to between 10 and 12 photographs for the 180 degree coverage.
