Camera Lens

Today I finally picked up my replacement camera lens. Canon were real buggers about it. I put my order in and it was on back-order. A week later they told me, "It's on back-order."

A week later, "It's on back-order."

A week later, "It's on back-order."

Then they said, "Oh, the 35-80mm zoom isn't made any more. Would a 28-80mm do?" I said it would, and they placed it on back order

A week later, "It's on back-order."

A week later, "It's on back-order."

A week later, "It's on back-order."

I got cranky and finally worked my way up the food chain to a supervisor who knew what was happening. "The 35-80mm zoom and 28-80mm zoom are discontinued lines," he said. "I'll put you down for one of the new 28-90mm zooms. I see your order has been in since--" Long pause." September 1st?! Okay, I'll mark this a priority order." I thanked him.

Today I picked up my new lens. I have a proper camera again! I can put away the company Olympus digital.

28-90 - Nicely useful range and not too bulky as well - Perhaps this was worth the wait?

CYa!

PS: I hear Peewee chicks make great test out the new lens subjects ;-)
