I simply evict those spiders that I find in my house, I have a couple of matchboxes which make great holding pens, but then we don't have any native arachnids that are poisonous (to us)in Britain.
The spider in the ad is a huntsman. The easily grow to over 8" across but they are utterly harmless to humans. They're an ambush predator and don't spin webs. I see them inside when it rains. And apparently they sound like Barry White.
I hunt them outside with a broom. They're all hairy legs and quite startling when you see them on the ceiling, or clinging to the underside of the toilet lid, or hiding over the sunvisor of your car and dropping unexpectedly into your lap on the motorway.

What are you feeding them? That's over twice the size of the largest I've ever had to evict from my house, and I thought that one was huge.
And Barry White? Considering the effect his voice is supposed to have on females, I'm surprised the actress in the ad wasn't cuddling the spider. :)
