Ping [livejournal.com profile] oceansedge go here and click on "Bathurst Video." 17 minutes of V8 Goodness. Look for the expensive 10 seconds at the 14 minute mark. [livejournal.com profile] makovette, you might be interested, too. The speeds at the bottom of Conrod Straight, just before The Chase, was 290+kph

After 1000km and 6 hours of racing, the time between 1st and 2nd was 2.5 seconds.

I don't think the video will be accessible. A few years back BigPond signed a deal with V8Supercars that meant that all the video content on the V8Supercars site is restricted to those with BigPond broadband accounts.

Java in java with gawdaweful organization makes it impossible to find the one vid OE is refering to.

No worries though, I have the Supercars VCD you sent me last year still, and enjoy watching that plenty :)

Tnx & CYa!

All it takes is an incident close to the end of the race that brings out the safety car. The formation that is created behind the safety car causes an artificial bunching of all the cars that are still on the leading lap.
