He's sort of known here, but the only place I've seen The Two Ronnies regularly is down your way. Sad.

My dad watched The Two Ronnies years ago. I remember them from public television way, way back. That's a shame. The world is worse off without humor.

Ronnie Corbett (his partner in The two Ronnies) has described him as "Pure gold in triplicate". This is bacause he was a writer, actor and comedian all in one package, and one of the best in all three groups.
