My Geek Genes are screaming at me to buy this keyboard when it becomes available.

I can think of a number of people.

Isn't it someone's birthday tomorrow?

Indeed it is, but this geek kitty already got her goodie.

I got a lovely Fuji S5100 - identical to James's which I was using at Christmas time. But no point spending half my holidays without it - so he gave it to me when I arrived in Oz. A very very happy kitty indeed!

Neato!

I'm so trained now not to look at my keyboard it would be wasted on me, but it's very cool.

Yeah, several people have shown me that, including [livejournal.com profile] codecattx and [livejournal.com profile] valkyrwench. Our household will end up having two of them, assuming they ever come out with an ergonomic version for Ali.

The days of the one-button mouse are gone, Ace. Even Macs ship standard with two-button mice now.

Not according to Apple's website.

And everyone knows you need at least 5 buttons.

Holy crap, that is an awesome keyboard. I'd so love to have one, but at the same time I'd be afraid that if I did, I probably end up wrecking it due to some misdirected frustration.

The boything showed me that a couple of days ago. So awesome! And perfect for him as he prefers the Dvorak keyboard. I hope it's available in time for me to buy it for his birthday.

That is simultaneously the coolest and most useful thing I have ever seen.

That is by far the coolest keyboard I have ever seen.

Nice toy:D!

Are you getting a new drive to go with the nice toy, or is it just nifty finger candy?

I want to do work in several languages (which I will have almost no knowledge of) so alternative characters on the keys would be infinitely better then any alternative. The solution I was going for is a touch-sensetive flat screen used as a keyboard but they do not come cheap, are not as long and narrow as I want for a keyboard, and most importantly do not have the feel of keys so drifting off your intended keys can happen very easily.

yes, want one of those
