Date: 8 Jul 2005 14:04 (UTC)In use, the cab would constantly rock forward and backward, unless MASSIVE gyros were used to keep it perfectly level---and such things not only take up room, but (in this application) would suck up a LOT of power (besides stressing their shaft bearings unmercifully).
Still, with something to stabilize it, it would be difficult to stop---on a wide-open plain with NO trees or overhangs of any kind. Maybe the Moon. Or Mars.
