Rather reminds me of the scene in Life, the Universe and Everything where the Krikkit Robots are stealing the heart of the Heart of Gold.

Zaphod: So what are you going to do about it?
Robot: We are going to shoot you.
Douglas: Zaphod was so surprised that they had to shoot him twice before he fell down.
