Photos of Botany Bay

On the right, the Georges River Bridge c1980, on the left Tom Ugly's Bridge c1930, at my feet is the foundation of the original Tom Ugly's Ferry landing c1900.

Looking North from Kurnell across Botany Bay to the center of Sydney. Kurnell is a rarity. It's a very small village on the edge of a very large city.

The mouth of the Georges River as it meets Botany Bay. Approx 120 degree Panorama.
From left to right, Georges River Bridge (and fishermen), Kogarah Bay (with Sydney in the hazy distance) the suburbs of Ramsgate and San Souci running along the skyline, Captain Cook Bridge (with Woolooware Bay on the other side to the right, and Botany Bay to the left) and Sylvania Waters and Shag Point.

Very nice, I didn't unfortunately get much time to tour around Sydney and take pictures. I got one funky one of the bridge.. but that's about it :)

Everyone gets a photo of the Harbour Bridge.

I was born in Kogarah so Botany Bay is my home turf. I used to swim in there before there was a sea-tainer port and the airport runways didn't protrude into the bay.

But how many get a picture of the lovely iron latice work OVERHEAD? *grins*

I didn't see the Harbour Bridge in '81, had to come back and visit in '91 for that. I got a great sunset photo from the Manly Ferry. Of the total of 13 months I've spent in Australia, I've spent maybe 30 hours total in Sydney, if even that much.

You weren't at Woolaware High, were you?

No. We lived around Hurstville/Bexley/Rockdale before moving out to the bush. I went to Wellington High.

How do you stick your panoramas together?
