Walking Machines

John Deere markets walking machine

This is a real machine, on the market NOW. I seriously want one. Seriously. But I'd need to mod it with a big pair of grabbing arms at the front. I wonder how it would go in the DARPA Grand Challenge.

That looks like fun. They probably won't allow the use of such a vehicle in most park areas around here though. :)

Wow, that's a pretty interesting machine. You know, in a way, like kinda looks like a big mechanical grasshopper. With that being said, it would sure be nice to use to clear all the deadfall from the wooded areas of my cousin's ranch.

It does look like a mechanical grasshopper, but I wouldn't say unpleasantly so. It's a neat idea for rough terrain.

The Crablogger (Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds show) must have laid a few eggs on its uncontrolled march. :)

Nice to see yet another SF staple becoming reality.
