Cockatoo
This morning I was down at Bob's Pet Store buying parrot porridge for the young cockie, when inspiration hit me. I asked the owner if he knew of anyone who wanted a fully grown, talking cockie. I told him how I rescued it. He handed me a phone number. I rang the lady at lunch time and told her I had a cocky to give away.
She started crying, and said her daughter's cocky had recently died and they couldn't afford the $700 for a new one.
This afternoon she turned up with the daughter and a cage. They both began crying when they saw the cockie, and began thanking me and my family for giving them the bird. Half an hour later they were gone with their new friend.
I feel good.

And rightly so. That was a wonderful thing to do for everyone involved.
