Den's Backyard Cam

As well as the usual birdy suspects, a pair of bee eaters arrived this morning. These are migratory and fly north for the winter.*

Think about what? Makes sense to me.

Though the fact that there are birds that eat bees...I think we need to import those. So long as they can adjust their migratory patterns :)

They are an "old world" bird, found in europe, africa and asia. They migrate down from New Guinea and are a sure sign of spring around here. You can't see it in the photo, but their backs and wings are an irridescent emerald green.

Cool :) I still say we need some. Bees are right up there with spiders in my book.
