We're all individuals

Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does.

Let The Dog Out, by Gondwanaland. Or The Four Seasons, by Vivaldi Or anything by TISM really. (Die Rigeurmortis, Great Trucking Songs Of The Renassance, www.tism.wanker.com)

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does.

The Evolution Man by Roy Lewis

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does.

The Way Things Go (inspired the Toyota Cog ad.) or Enigma, or Das Boot

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has.

ooh... um. Camooweal? Longreach? Mt Isa? Chipping Ongar UK?

Name a piece of clothing that no-one else on your friends list has.

a white t-shirt with a sniggering Muttley on the front.

Name an occupation that you've had that no-one else on your friends list has had.

Mainframe Tape Librarian is a fair bet.

Well as a VAX sysadmin, I did all the backups and handled all the tapes. Does that count? :)

close, but no tim tam. I wasn't a sysadmin. My position was "Tape Librarian." It was identicle to a book librarian but with mag tapes and diskpacs. I even had to do repairs on a Memorex tape splicer/tester.

you can't fool me!

Das boot, one of THE best submarine movies ever, best to watch in a dark room, with a nice loud set of speakers

I disagree. It's far better to watch it in a big, ornate movie theater that serves beer in the lobby and has organ music in the intermission when they change the reels on the director's cut version. ;)

...which is a dark room, with (surprise surprise) powerful speakers

the beer in the lobby's just a perk, as is the reelchange intermission

Hm, you raise a good point.

Mum has the Four Seasons, does that count? ^ ^

And I've been meaning to get a TISM album...

[identity profile] hopeforyou.livejournal.com 2004-10-16 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
I have Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I have some TISM mp3's...does that count?

I have been to Longreach and Mt. Isa. Honestly, Den, I thought you would remember my story about smoking menthol cigarettes for the first time when the wind shifted and the sulphurous smell hit me, making me gag. Anyone who's been to Mt. Isa knows it's a hole.

Oh yeah! The lovely airs of Mt Isa.
