I was trying for Dawn. Dusk is a lot redder.

It supposedly has something to do with cloud cover, which supposedly has something to do with the prevailing wind (in the UK, Atlantic air is blown in, rains on the west coast, and leaves the east coast drier). You can probably find places which are the other way around.

However, most of the world's prevailing winds are west-to-east, so if a place gets rain, clouds probably are on the west side. Here, sunset is yellow at best. Sunrise is blocked by a mountain, so I wouldn't know.
