Looks like the conservative Liberal Party are back in power for another 3 fucking years.

The bastards commit us to a war, and they have slammed the borders shut on people who really need help, and people still voted them in.

One of the big problems, of course is that on the issues of the war and refugees, the Labor party has spent most of the last two months following the Liberals every step of the way.

That said, the Libs are going to spend the next three years putting the final nails in the coffin of the ABC, public education and medicare, and pay for more tax breaks for rich people by selling the rest of Telstra. All that, and we get Peter Fucking Costello as Prime Minister in a year or two.

And we get Senator Alston as communications minister. Alston, the guy whose most recent contribution to the IT industry in Australia was saying that there was no need to encourage wide-spread broadband access in Australia because all it's ever used for is kids playing games.
