Hmm

Judging from the amount of cat fur in the back yard and Polly's unmistakable reek of cat piss, I'd say she caught the black tom sneaking through the yard last night.

I've just read the original item and whilst I hate to see any animal suffer, I do get the distinct feeling that some cats just ask to have this sort of thing happen to them. Actually pausing to smirk in superiority at the dogs who couldn't reach him.

After this last incident I'll bet he's back to using the front paths for a week or two until his ego recovers.

My guess is that Polly fox-pounced the cat but only grabbed a mouthfull of fur. There's no blood in the yard, but Polly has a few scratches on her nose.

And yes, a rather dishevelled tom walked past the house yesterday afternoon.

I don't remember. It was one of the many Make An Icon web pages around.
