Study

I have a Business Management exam on tomorrow, at 2pm. Blagh. study study study.

Leura Cascades, in The Blue Mountains.

Jameson Valley, Katoomba, approx 80km from Sydney. From the valley floor to the top of Mt Solitary in the middle is 1500 feet. It's difficult to get colour matching on non-digital camers, especially when you forget to take off the polarizing filter.

Number of people who live between here and the horizon: about 200.

Wollemi Valley, near Capertee, approx 200km from Sydney. If you travel through the gap in the distant range (about 1/3 of the way from the left margin) you'll pass a ghost town called Glen Davis where they mined oil shales in the early 1900s. If you keep going, veering to the right and walking for 3 days, you'll come to the wollemi pines and recently discovered 4000 year old aboriginal paintings.

Number of people who live between here and the horizon: about 50.

I want to come back. On the next plane.

*sigh*

Ta. Beautiful photos.

We'll ride the railway into the valley, and ride the cable car out. If I had to work in Sydney I'd be looking for a place in the Mountains to live, despite the horrendous travel times.

That area is full of waterfalls and cascades like this. They all end in a sheer drop into the valley you see in the first panorama.
