Bugs in 3D

You have to do that thing with your eyes like in the Magic Eye pictures. Use Boris' eyes as a reference point.

There is a proper Bugs strip in the render engine.

I like it. Of course if you make it for the cross-eyed method you can make it bigger ;)

(I'm so glad you did this and not that yucky blue/red glasses thing)

I can't go cross-eyed. Or rather, I can but I can't hold it very long.

And that red/blue thing is ugly.

Funnily enough I find cross-eyed easier, and clearer. Then again, either works for me, but I've been doing them regularly for years.

Oh no! Does that mean I'm an addict?!

I have never managed to do cross-eyed properly. I can vaguely do it with 3D-glasses. I can focus on my finger and not see anything, too.

The most reliable way for me is to stick my face up to the screen, wait, and try to get two feet away without screwing it up. I imagine wearing glasses would make focussing easier.

Most excellent ;)

Cool, although I think you could increase the camera separation. They're not far enough apart to give a good sense of 3D.

Very cool Batty! Can I twist yer wing for a 800 (400-400) pixel version?

Tnx!
Mako

I can send you the two source images, which are 320x240. You can make your own. 8)

Tnx Batty, I got them just fine. I can't send Email due to an SMTP server config problem, bugger...

Thanks!
Mako

*POUT* I never could make that magic eye thing work for me.... it must be the astigmatism. But it's cool non the less

It worked!

[identity profile] pantherpc.livejournal.com 2004-05-10 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I took off my glasses and put my nose to the screen, and crossed my eyes, and boom! That is way cool, how do you make that?

I rendered one the left side, then moved the camera a few points to the right and rendered that. When combined by your eyes you get 3D.

I'm going to try that, thanks!
