BBQ at the beach

The family, a friend and his family, and my youngest brother's S.O. went for a bbq at The Beach. It's often a surprise to people that Dubbo has a beach, but it does! It's a stretch of river sand on the inside of a bend in the Macquarie River. The council has set up toilets and free electric BBQs for all to use. And we used them. L. made a "chinese marinade" of ginger, garlic, salt, pepper and soy sauce, and soaked chicken lumps and pork ribs in it. They cooked up nicely! A good day was had by all.




I haven't had to kill anything for 2 days. You know it's a good day when you don't have to kill anything.
